Getting to Blanc-Sablon
The 138 road is incomplete from Kegaska to Vieux-Fort. It is thus impossible to reach Blanc-Sablon by road along the Gulf of the St-Lawrence.
1 - Take Highway 138 East up to Baie-Comeau.
2 - From Baie-Comeau, take Highway 389 (R-389) to Wabush (594 km), along the Daniel-Johnson Dam (Manic-5).
3 - Take the Trans-Quebec-Labrador Highway (R-510) to Blanc-Sablon (1128 km).
From Rimouski (Highway 132 on South Shore)
From the North Shore: Sept-Iles, Natashquan or Havre-Saint-Pierre (Highway 138 on the North Shore)
1 - Take the ferry Relais Nordik which serves the Lower North Shore and Blanc-Sablon.
The total crossing time from Rimouski is about 3 days and 2 days from Havre-Saint-Pierre. The ferry stops at several ports to unload goods, leaving you time to disembark and visit the beautiful villages along the coast.

2 - Take the ferry Qajaq W from St-Barbe (Newfoundland) to Blanc-Sablon
From the Maritime Provinces
1 - Take the ferry to North Sydney (Nova Scotia) to Port-aux-Basques (Newfoundland).
2 - Drive to St-Barbe (563 km from Port- aux-Basques)
3 - From St-Barbe, take the ferry MV Apollo to Blanc-Sablon.
1 - Take a flight to St-Anthony (Newfoundland) or Deer Lake (Newfoundland) via Provincial Airlines company
2 - Rent a car and drive to St-Barbe (301 km from Deer Lake or 118 km from St-Anthony)
3 - From St-Barbe, take the ferry Qajaq W up to Blanc-Sablon.
